Cooper's Kids Club: Cooper
If you visit our shelter on a regular basis, most likely you’ve bumped into this furry face a time or two.

For those of you who don’t know, this is Cooper (of “Cooper’s Kids Club” fame). Cooper joined our Vice President of Education, Caroline, and her family in 2012 and they are inseparable! Cooper was born in 2004 and is Golden, Red Retriever who loves kids, dogs, cats and humans! He loves to be brushed, play fetch, go swimming and learn new tricks. He’s quite a guy! Cooper took over as mascot for our Kids Club when his brother, Lopster, retired from the Kids Club.

We are sad to say that time has come for Cooper to retire as well. But, retiring is something many of us look forward to, and dogs are no exception! During his retirement, Cooper is looking forward to long naps, tons of treats, and a relaxing lifestyle.

To send Cooper off on a happy note, our Kids Club threw him a retirement party! What dog (or kid, for that matter) doesn’t enjoy a shindig with delicious treats, fun games, and tons of well-wishes?

We are going to miss you Cooper!!

But WAIT… Who’s going to run Kids Club?

Who could possibly follow Cooper and be the new mascot for the Humane Society of Broward County? Daisy to the rescue!!!

At 8 years young, Daisy the Bassugg (Basset Hound/ Pug mix,) is ready to have a howlin’ good time with all the Kid’s Club members. Due to the fact her favorite things in the world are children, food, and naps; she is a perfect fit for the job of HSBC Kid’s Club Mascot!

Daisy very much hopes that you can join us for Kids Club this year! She’s quite excited and cannot wait to meet so many wonderful animal-lovers.

What is Daisy’s Kids Club?

Kids Club is a great way for kids to learn about caring for animals, building empathy and being kind to our furry friends. Each meeting lasts an hour and a half. We spend at least half of our time with the animals and the other half learning about important lessons in animal kindness or working on animal-related projects. The annual membership fee is $45.00 which includes a Daisy’s Kids Club T-shirt.
