We’re halfway through “Adopt a Shelter Cat Month,” and we cannot think of any better way to celebrate than to name Nellie (ID 569385), who is one of our longest-residing shelter animals, as this week’s JR Dunn Jewelers’ Diamond in the Ruff. 3-year-old Nellie has been here since January and has seen a lot of cats find homes… and hopefully this is her lucky week.
She was listed as a “Beach Babe” during the shelter’s Summer Splash Adopt-a-Thon last week, but sadly the right family never stopped by. This beach bunny is great with other cats and children, and she would love nothing more than to cuddle with you in a sunny area of your house. Nellie’s adoption fee has been generously sponsored by JR Dunn Jewelers, and because she was a “Beach Babe,” we’ll still give you the beach bucket full of treats and toys we have created for her. Add this little ray of sunshine to your family today!
About the “Diamond in the Ruff” Series:
Longtime Humane Society of Broward County supporter J.R. Dunn Jewelers will be helping to create true love – by sponsoring pet adoptions so that more dogs and cats can find happy homes. The program is called “Diamond in the Ruff,” and who knows diamonds better than J.R. Dunn?
J.R. Dunn will feature a pet each week and will underwrite the entire adoption fee for that dog, puppy, cat or kitten in the Humane Society of Broward County’s Adoption Ambassador program. Diamond in the Ruff will be promoted through J.R. Dunn’s local radio spots and social media, and the HSBC will do its share of promotion as well. What a fabulous way to put their money where their heart is, and to bring attention to all the amazing dogs and cats that are so ready to be loved. Furry little diamonds in the rough – just waiting for their “perfect setting!”
Be sure to visit J.R. Dunn’s facebook page each week to see who the featured pet is and you might just find your next family member. Of course to meet the pet, contact the Humane Society of Broward County at 954-266-6839.
