Book Pals
Book Pals
is our newest program that welcomes children ages 6-15 years to register for this 3-month reading program, hosted here at the Humane Society of Broward County.

Wags and TalesAn exclusive partnership with the Broward County Libraries and the School Board of Broward County, the Wags & Tales program provides a non-judgmental audience for students experiencing difficulty with reading. Participants learn how to be safe around animals as well as what a loving friend, a dog, can be as they improve their reading skills.
Purrs and TalesThe success of the Humane Society of Broward County Wags & Tales program has led to the creation of a new program at the shelter called Purrs & Tales. In the Purrs & Tales program children will have a chance to come to the shelter and read to our adoptable cats.
