The presentation took place in Philadelphia at the National Dog Show. Purina was impressed with all the hurricane-related efforts the HSBC was involved with this hurricane season. This included flying 164 shelter pets out of the storm’s path to California prior to hurricane Irma, setting up and running a pet friendly shelter to accommodate 300 Broward County residents and their pets, accepting pets from shelters in the Florida Keys, Collier County, Puerto Rico and St. Croix, and providing food and supplies to shelters.

Christopher Agostino, President and CEO of the HSBC, along with Robin and Russ Chard of Hollywood were interviewed by Mary Carillo of NBC Sports and the segment aired on the National Dog Show on Thanksgiving Day. The Chards live in an evacuation zone and stayed at the HSBC’s pet-friendly shelter during the hurricane.
