Intermediate Dog Training Class

Does your dog have the basics down pat?

Take your dog’s skills to the next level with the Humane Society of Broward County’s Intermediate classes. As always, it’s all positive reinforcement, making it fun for you AND your dog! If your dog has a good grasp of cues like sit, lie down, come, stay, and loose leash walking, all with low-level distractions, this is the class for you!

How long is the class and what will my dog learn?

Our intermediate class will help you improve your dog’s follow-through during challenging exercises that incorporate increased distance, duration and distractions. This class will also prepare your dog for the Canine Good Citizen test, which is offered at the completion for a small fee.

The five-week class will also cover “Stand,” “Heel,” “front and finish” hand signals, target training, tricks, and more.

How do I register for the class?

For more information on scheduling a class please call our Behavior and Training Department 954.266.6819.
