Weekly Pet Flyer

Our Walk for the Animals is only 2 days away! Eek! We are feverishly packing up our supplies and getting ourselves ready to transform Huizenga Plaza into a pet-lovers paradise.

It should be noted that our shelter will remain open throughout the Walk, and we will be fully-staffed, operating with normal business hours. As such, here are 5 animals who hope to find homes before the big day… rather than spend it back at the shelter. (Sadly we do not have enough staff/resources to take all of our shelter animals to the Walk… but we totally would if we could!)

Additional Adoption Information

The adoption fee for dogs is $100 and $30 for cats. All animals go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive preliminary vaccinations, dogs receive a heartworm test, and cats are feline leukemia tested. They also receive a flea/tick preventative, a 10-day limited health care plan from VCA Animal Hospitals, 30 days of Trupanion Pet Insurance and a bag of Purina ONE pet food. To learn more about the HSBC’s adoption processes, please click here.

The HSBC opens daily at 10:30 and is located at 2070 Griffin Road, a block west of I-95. For more details call 954-989-3977 ext. 6. To see who else is looking for a home visit www.humanebroward.com

Meet the Pet Flyer Cats

Sara (ID 590766)

Weekly Pet Flyer
Description: 6 years old, female
After having a home her entire life, fun-loving Sara was given up because her owners got divorced. This sweet gal is good with dogs, cats and people of all ages, she just might be a little shy until she settles into her new home. Sara is potty-trained and is well behaved when left alone. She may not be the youngest dog at the shelter, but she has a heart of gold and a lot of love to share. Can Sara be your new BFF?

Sara is a Dolly’s Dream Dog, so her adoption fee is sponsored and she gets to home with the goodies she needs to settle into her new home. For more details call the shelter at 954-989-3977 ext. 6
Happy Update – Since this blog post went live, Sara has been adopted.

Sally is a lovable ball of energy. She is still very puppy-like and playful. Sally came to us from an overcrowded shelters, so we do not know a lot about her. However, we can tell already that she loves toys and treats, and she could benefit from some basic obedience training.
