This month local Hollywood artist Alissa Alfonso stopped by the shelter to photograph another recycled-materials #StyledShoot.

This series, titled “Go for Gold,” was inspired by our Walk for the Animals (which is only 15 days away… EEK!). Inspired by the mythical Roman God Mercury, our furry friends were adorned with winged ankle cuffs and golden shoes.

We hope you “Go for Gold” as well with your fundraising efforts, because every dollar earned goes straight to the care of the furry friends in our shelter. Currently we are about 1/3 of the way towards our fundraising goal of $675,000. It sounds like a lot of money (well, it is), BUT if every single person who has registered for the Walk raises just $150… we would exceed our goal by over $100,000!

Thank you so much for all of your efforts so far, and we hope these lovely, adorable photos help to remind you of all of the lives you’re saving by attending our Walk and supporting our shelter.
