Due to the popularity of our Wags & Tales and Purrs & Tales Programs, we have created a new reading program called “Book Pals.”
Basic Program Information
Children’s Ages: 5-15 years
Allowed Reading Hours:
Monday and Wednesday: 3:00pm-6:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 11:00am-1:00pm
In order to participate: Child must be registered, supervised each visit, and child and an adult must complete Book Pals Program Guide packet and quiz.
Cost: $10 per child/session
What to bring: We kindly request that each child bring a mat, blanket, or pillow to sit on for their own comfort and cleanliness. But, if you don’t want to dirty up your human blankets, you can purchase your own Official Book Pals Reading Blanket for $25.00 (optional). Children MUST bring Book Pals badge to each visit so that staff can identify if they are allowed to be participating.
52” x 47” roll up blanket, made of polyester fleece and water resistant PVC backing.
Sessions throughout the year: There will be four (4) three-month sessions.

*Parent/Guardian and child must complete and return an Book Pals program packet prior to beginning their Book Pals session. Program packets will go over Book Pals rules, basic dog body language, and have a quiz at the end that must be returned.
Book Pals name badges will available at the front desk once mandatory program quiz has been received. Badges are required in order to be allowed to read to the dogs and must be worn every visit. Reading Blankets will be available for pickup at the front desk once ordered.
