10 year-old Princess found her forever home during our Clear the Shelter adoption event.
The Clear the Shelter adoption event that took place on Saturday, August 15, 2015 far exceeded our expectations! We set an adoption goal of 150 animals and we surpassed that by finding 167 homeless animals their forever homes.
Although adoption fees were waived, we set a fundraising goal of $5,000, but we came up a little short and we were able to raise just over $3,000. Animals in our care receive preliminary vaccinations, a microchip, heart worm test for dogs over seven months, feline leukemia test for cats, a limited 10 day health care plan courtesy of VCA Animal Hospital, a bag of Purina ONE food and more.
Will you help us reach our Clear the Shelter fundraising goal of $5,000 so we can offset the cost of offering waived adoption fees? Money donated will directly benefit the animals in our care and will allow us to care for even MORE homeless animals in the future. The Humane Society of Broward County is a private, non-profit organization supported by donations from companies and people who want to help us help the homeless animals of South Florida. The shelter does not receive any government funding whatsoever.
