New Adoption Procedures in Response to COVID-19

As we monitor the quickly changing situation surrounding COVID-19, the Humane Society of Broward County is also making adjustments to help keep our visitors and our staff as safe as possible.

As of September 28th, the shelter is now open for walk-in adoptions, no appointment necessary. Our kennels will open to visitors daily starting at 11 am. Please note, the adoption desk closes at 6pm.

All persons entering the shelter must be wearing masks per CDC guidelines.

Please follow the social recommendations (social distancing) by maintaining a distance of 6 feet from others, and refrain from shaking hands.

To adopt a friend for life, we require an adoption fee.
