We found this letter in our mailbox this morning. Apparently one of our recent adoptees tried to contact Santa (addressed to “Mr. Klaus, Santa’s Workshop, North Pole”) and marked us as the return address. It warmed our heart, so we wanted to share with you all.
My name is Prince, and I am 1 year old Chi-weenie (that’s chihuahua-dachshund mix) living in Broward County, Florida . You don’t need to check your “Naughty or Nice” list this year for me… I know I must have been a VERY good boy because I have already found my forever home. I couldn’t be happier!
My new parents spoil me to death… and they treat me like the real Prince I am! However, I know that there are nearly a hundred other pets that aren’t as lucky as I am waiting patiently in the shelter. Some of them are my friends! And, I would really appreciate it if you paid a special visit to the Humane Society of Broward County.
Although “a new home” tops all of their wishlists, I know that many homes wouldn’t fit on your sleigh! If it isn’t too much of a bother, would you be able to bring them some of the items on the shelter’s wishlist instead? I know it will make their time with us much more comfortable and enjoyable.
The shelter staff has written their wishlist out on their website, so even if your Toy Workshop has a few extra of these items lying about, I know my furry friends will enjoy them. Or, if your Elves are a bit more tech-savvy, you can always just find some of the items the shelter needs on its AmazonSmile Wishlist.
Thank you so much for giving me my gift a few months early this year, but please don’t forget my friends. None of them have been naughty, not even once!
All my furry best,
