Kids & Teens
Kits and Cuddles is a fun program that you and your child can enjoy together. Book a private Cuddle with some of our shelter animals for your group and complete the experience with an at-home Kit filled with fun animal-related activities. Click to learn more.
Pups & Tots is great for children up to the age of four. This hour long class will include story time, an activity, and of course visits from furry friends. Click to learn more.
With separate programs for ages 6-8, 9-11, and 12-13; this hour and a half long program is a great way for kids to learn about caring for animals, building empathy and being kind to our furry friends. Click to learn more.

Students & Teachers
Are you looking for a safe, reputable organization to oversee and assist your children with their virtual schooling? The Humane Academy is for children 9 to 13 years old and runs from August 31, 2020 to October 2, 2020. Sign up for one week, or the whole month.
The success of the Humane Society of Broward County Wags & Tales program has led to the creation of a new program at the shelter called Purrs & Tales. In the Purrs & Tales program children will have a chance to come to the shelter and read to our adoptable cats.
Have you heard about the animal newspaper for kids? It’s called Pet Press and it’s designed for kids 7 to 10 years of age. Click here to learn more.
Book Pals is our newest program that welcomes children ages 5-15 years to register for this 3-month reading program, hosted here at the Humane Society of Broward County.
The Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) program uses volunteers and their companion animals to provide social therapy to comfort children and adults with special needs or those experiencing life’s stresses. Click here to learn more.
