DESCRIPTION:Want to unwind after a long day and at the same time give back to our homeless animals?  Bring your favorite book and cozy up with one of our cats in our community cat rooms or read outside an adoptable dogs cage.  Be sure to bring a cozy blanket.\n\nBy reading to an animal\, it helps de-stress them and bring them the comfort and normality of hearing a human voice while they’re at the shelter.  It will lift their spirits and yours too by knowing you are helping them!\n\nPlus it is a great way to volunteer\, but not have to make the weekly commitment!\n\nWHO: Adults \nWHAT: Reading to shelter animals \nWHERE: Humane Society of Broward County\, 2070 Griffin Road\, Fort Lauderdale\, FL 33328 \nWHEN: Select dates from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm and you MUST be signed up to participate. \nWHAT TO BRING: A book\, a blanket\, and your reading voice \nWHAT’S PROVIDED: Your choice of coffee or tea and the best furry listening ears you’ll ever meet! \nQUESTIONS: Contact ccrane@hsbroward.com \nCLICK HERE TO GO TO RESCUE READERS PAGE
