Like all of you, we’ve watched as our community faces hard times due to the current public health crisis. At the Humane Society of Broward County, we believe we’re all in this together so we want to make sure pets are still able to have basic necessities like meals, despite the challenging circumstances.

Starting this week, we’ll be distributing free pet food on select days.

This is a great time of need for our community and we hope this pet food will help you and your family provide for your furry family members.

Wednesday, April 1st and Friday, April 3rd

9:00AM to 11:00 AM

This pet food distribution will continue while the food supplies last.

Humane Society of Broward County

2070 Griffin Road
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312

Distribution will be in the back parking lot of the shelter.

  • Please enter through the front gate at the east end of the building.
  • We require that you remain in your car.  Pop your trunk open and someone will ask if you need cat or dog food and we will load this into your car.
  • There will be a 2 bag limit per car as we would like to service as many people in the community as possible.
  • Please NO special requests. The food we have is a wide range of brands and flavors and we may not have your pet’s current diet so please help us to help you.

We’d like to thank our partners at for generously donating the supplies and helping to make this possible.
