Just look at those sad puppy eyes! Meet Pebbles (ID 584973). This adorable little girl was hit by a car and has suffered a fracture to her left rear leg and abrasions all over her body.
Luckily, this 1-year-old bully breed mix was found by Broward County Animal Control, but she needed a facility and funds to give her the surgery she needed.
Thankfully, she was brought to the Humane Society of Broward County, where Pebbles was able to get her surgery right here at the shelter. Her procedure was sponsored in part by a GoFundMe fundraiser run by Friends of Broward County Animal Care and Adoptions, and it has been just over one week since fun-loving Pebbles (ID 584973) had surgery to repair her fractured femur.
Adopt Pebbles Today
We are pleased to report this cutie is making a speedy recovery. This ball of energy craves attention, but does need strict kennel rest for another seven weeks to heal. She is available for adoption, however her new family must be willing to bring her back frequently for rechecks until the external fixator can be removed.
If you want to make the difference in the life of a homeless animal and have time to devote to Pebbles, please stop by the Humane Society of Broward County and ask to meet her. To help more pets like Pebbles, please click here.
She is in the clinic area, so you’ll need to bring her pet ID number with you. For more details call 954-989-3977 ext. 6. The shelter opens daily at 10:30.
