Cooper has reached retirement age and looks forward to long naps, tons of treats, and a relaxing lifestyle. But who could be the new mascot for the Humane Society of Broward County? Daisy to the rescue!!! At 9 years young, Daisy the Bassugg (Basset Hound/ Pug mix,) is ready to move on into the mascot position and have a howlin’ good time with all the Kid’s Club members. Due to the fact her favorite things in the world are children, food, and lounging on the couch; she is a perfect fit for the job of HSBC Kid’s Club Mascot!
Kids of all ages can join Daisy’s Kids Club for the school year.
The clubs meet from September through May.
- Little Pups: Humans from 6 to 9 years old
- Middle Mutts: Humans from 9 to 11 years old
- Big Dogs: Humans from 10 to 13 years old
Kids Club is a great way for kids to learn about caring for animals, building empathy and being kind to our furry friends. Each meeting lasts an hour and a half. We spend at least half of our time with the animals and the other half learning about important lessons in animal kindness or working on animal-related projects. The annual membership fee is $45.00 which includes a Daisy’s Kids Club T-shirt.
Kids Club meets on the 2nd floor of the Humane Society of Broward County,
2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312.
