Have a twofer here. Cady (the red-nosed pit) was adopted by my late Domestic Partner/wife a couple of months before we met on April 1, 2008. The following January, we decided that an addition to the family was needed, so I adopted Stonie (lab/American Staffordshire Terrier mix) on January 15, 2009.

Cady is 1 year 5 months to the day older, and in many ways she sees him as much her puppy as she does her bigger baby brother. They are inseparable.

Life events caused me to have to move back with parents in Mississippi in April 2015. Well, in October 2016 we had seen a stray male, boxer-mix dog in the area for the previous week or two (sadly, it was not an uncommon “dumping ground” for animals), and when I got home from work one Saturday morning, he was sitting at front gate like he was waiting for daddy to get home.

Since Cady and Stonie both got along with him, we let him join the family and named him Sue (hey, I am a fan of Johnny Cash). Sue is now kinda Cady’s second baby, as she will often lick him to clean him.

In the picture Cady is bottom left, Sue is top left, and Stonie on the right.
