Volunteer Bette Jacoby
Volunteer Spotlight On: Bette Jacoby

Began Volunteering: 2016

Department: Cat PAL

Pets at Home: Leo, a shy senior cat Bette fell in love with while volunteering in the cattery

Favorite Part of Volunteering: “As a PAL volunteer, I spend time with the cats to help socialize them. I enjoy making them feel important and loved. I was never a “cat person,” but now I can’t imagine my life without a cat.”

What the Animals Say: “When we see Bette coming, we feel so happy because we know she’s going to sit with us and cuddle, talk, play, pet or do whatever it is we need to feel good. She makes sure to pay attention to each of us, even if someone feels a little shy or scared for a bit… She helps us come out of our shell. Bette’s the cat’s meow!”
