Weekly Pet Flyer

As you may have heard, we took in 35 chihuahuas from an overcrowded home this past weekend. While these nearly 3 dozen cutie pies have been receiving a lot of attention, we’d like to promote the nearly 100 other animals still waiting for homes at our shelter.

This weekly pet flyer features 5 cuties that have been waiting weeks for a new family.

While we certainly want you to stop by the shelter to check out the rescue chihuahuas, we do have a favor to ask. Please keep an open mind. You never know who you’ll meet at the Humane Society of Broward County, and you may find an animal unexpectedly steals your heart.

Additional Adoption Information

The adoption fee for dogs is $100 and $30 for cats. All animals go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive preliminary vaccinations, dogs receive a heartworm test, and cats are feline leukemia tested. They also receive a flea/tick preventative, a 10-day limited health care plan from VCA Animal Hospitals, 30 days of Trupanion Pet Insurance and a bag of Purina ONE pet food. Chardonnay (ID 592252)

Weekly Pet Flyer: Chardonnay 592252

Description: 1 year old, female
Chardonnay is a super-friendly girl who is looking for an active family to love her. This 1-year-old is still very much a puppy, and she is very playful and energetic. If you have a fenced-in backyard, she’ll definitely make the most of it.

Chardonnay is housebroken and knows a few basic commands, but she is a bit too playful for other dogs, cats, or small children. She’d love an exercise companion, so if you’d like a playmate – ask for Chardonnay.

Liam (ID 451187)

Weekly Pet Flyer: Liam 451187

Description: 6 years old, male
Liam’s past is a bit of a mystery, but this sweet boy is curious and gentle. We will post more information as we get to know him better, but hopefully a family falls in love first!

Charlie (ID 592037)

Weekly Pet Flyer: Charlie 592037

Description: 2 years old, male
Charlie is a very friendly and playful little chihuahua. He came to us back in March with his best friend Cane (ID 592036) when their family had a new baby. They are very attached and must be adopted together.

Both Charlie and Cane are crate-trained and love attention. Charlie is especially active and loves toys almost as much as he loves attention.

Luna (ID 458006)

Weekly Pet Flyer: Luna 458006

Description: 6 years old, female
Luna is an outgoing, beautiful young cat. She is extremely social, although she has never lived with other animals. Luna greets everyone who comes to visit her.

This gorgeous, grey girl is also quite playful – she loves catnip mice and aluminum foil balls.

Luna is looking for an owner to love her – she promises to cuddle you all throughout the night.

Snow (ID 592039)

Weekly Pet Flyer: Snow 592039

Description: 4 years old, male
My name is Snow (ID 592039) and after having a home my entire life, I was given up because the landlord said no pets. I miss my family but am hopeful someone will give me a chance. So you know more about me, I’m good with people of all ages, I like most other dogs, I’m potty/crate-trained, I love to be with people and I LOVE belly rubs. I’m a four year old, American Bulldog mix who is looking for a second chance…will you please give me one?

Thanks to Dolly’s Dream, my adoption fee is sponsored and I get to go home with the goodies I will need to settle into my new home. To learn more about me, please visit the Humane Society of Broward County at 2070 Griffin Road, or give them a call at 954-989-3977 ext. 6
