In this week’s pet flyer, you’ll find 5 adorable, adoptable Diamonds who have been waiting patiently for homes. These special pets have their adoption fees generously sponsored by J.R. Dunn Jewelers.

Since 2016, longtime Humane Society of Broward County supporter J.R. Dunn Jewelers has been helping to create true love – by sponsoring pet adoptions so that more dogs and cats can find happy homes. The program is called Diamond in the Ruff.

J.R. Dunn features a pet each week – yes, 52 pets every year – and underwrites the entire adoption fee for that dog, puppy, cat or kitten.

But, if you cannot adopt, won’t you help them by printing and sharing this weekly pet flyer? It helps so much in spreading their wonderful stories around the county and finding them a match!

Meet the Pet Flyer Pets

Sidney (ID 516474)

Weekly Pet Flyer: Sidney

Description: 3 years old, male
Featured on: August 13, 2018

His past owner called him timid, but we call Sidney quiet and cautious. Meet this week’s Diamond in the Ruff Sidney (ID 516474). This sweet 3-year-old came from a home that was hustling and bustling, which just was not the right fit for this mellow man.

Although Sidney is a little shy when first he first meets new pets and people, he warms up very quickly and will soon be insisting to sleep in bed with his humans. We have found out that he is afraid of dogs and balloons (the popping scares us, too!) but he loves adults and kids. He just doesn’t do well in a party house!

If you and your family aren’t party animals and are just looking for an affectionate furbaby to love, we have the purrr-fect pet for you. Our friends at JR Dunn Jewelers have generously sponsored his adoption fee, so he can go home with you today at no cost! Please stop on by and meet him, but don’t forget to give him a few minutes to get to know you!

Precious (ID 594116)

Weekly Pet Flyer: Precious

Description: 6 years old, female
Featured on: June 18, 2018

This JR Dunn Jewelers Diamond in the Ruff is precious. Seriously, her name is Precious (594116), and she definitely lives up to her name!

This 6-year-old mixed breed came to us from a shelter that doesn’t do a lot of adoptions, so they transferred her to us in hopes of finding her a better life. Precious has been at the Humane Society of Broward County for two months now, and sadly she is still waiting.

Her past is a complete mystery to us, but we’ve been working hard to get to know more about her. Throughout the process, she has quickly become a staff favorite! This sweetie-pie is good on a leash and loves to go for walks. She loves nothing more than to spend time with people; she seems to like everyone that she meets. Precious even gives hugs to her friends!

We don’t know how she is around other dogs or cats, but we’d be happy to do a meet-and-greet for all those who are interested in adopting her. And, as if she couldn’t get any better, her adoption fee has been fully-sponsored by our friends at JR Dunn Jewelers. So come and fall in love with Precious today!

Ollie (ID 581851)

Weekly Pet Flyer: Ollie 581851

Description: 1.5 years old, male
Featured on: February 12, 2018

Little Ollie came to us from Puerto Rico, and unfortunately he has a hard time trusting strangers (especially men). He is in an Adoption Ambassador home where he is working on how to trust people – and he has been making a lot of improvement! Ollie is a quirky and spunky little man with a ton of energy. We recommend that he goes to a home with a big backyard and a lot of time to give.

Coco (ID 596257)

Weekly Pet Flyer: Coco

Description: 8 years old, female
Featured on: August 6, 2018

Diamonds are ageless, and so is the love of a devoted pet. Meet Coco (ID 596257), one of the sweetest companions any family could hope for. This 8-year-old mixed breed offers all of the benefits of an adult dog: fully-trained, housebroken, and mellow (while still having her playful moments).

We think Coco aspires to be a nanny someday, because she is simply amazing towards kids – incredibly gentle and loving. But, if your kids also want an active playmate, she can offer that as well. Coco loves fetch and to play, but she definitely has a lazy side. If you’re having a quiet and lazy day at home, or if she’s left alone, she’s a total couch potato. She is truly the best of the best!

Needless to say, she’s great with people of all ages. Coco does enjoy the company of other canines, but she is not the most polite around cats. Oh, and you may have noticed her fashion accessory. That’s her harness. She does pull a little on the leash without it, but she’s positively perfect with the harness on.

We are confident that Coco will thrive in a big, loving home, and so are our friends at JR Dunn Jewelers! They have generously sponsored Coco’s adoption fee in hopes that she’ll find her match before the week is out. Please stop by and meet Coco today – we know you won’t regret it.

Chloe (ID 595956)

Weekly Pet Flyer: Chloe

Description: 10 months old, female
Featured on: July 30, 2018

After 10 years in a loving home, this week’s Diamond in the Ruff has spent the past 2.5 months waiting to be adopted. Meet Chloe (ID 595956), a 10-year-old mixed breed is looking for a family to spend her golden years with.

Do not let her age intimidate you: this spunky girl loves to play fetch, go on walks, and play. Her favorite things to do are to chase lizards, chew on squeaky toys, and eat treats – of course! But, of course, she has her mellow side and can be a bit of a couch potato.

Affectionate and friendly with people and animals of all ages, Chloe has also been extremely well-trained: she is housebroken and knows quite a lot of basic commands. I mean, she’s pretty perfect. Our friends at JR Dunn Jewelers think so, too. They have generously sponsored her adoption fee, so you can take her home for free today!

We are delighted to report that Chloe is spending her days in a wonderful foster home, but her forever family awaits. Can that be with you? Call us today at 954-989-3977 x6 to meet her!
