Home for the Holidays-FB banner

We are pleased to announce our final adoption special of 2017: Home for the Holidays. In hopes to find more pets homes for the holidays, we will be staying open later (until 8pm) to facilitate more adoptions!

In addition, you can adopt any pet 4 years of age (or older) for 50% off. So, $50 dogs, $15 cats, $25 rabbits, and more. Most of these furry friends have been waiting over a month for a new home, so won’t you stop by and see if there’s a place in your heart and home for one of them?

Below are 5 pets who, if they’re still here on December 18, will have their adoption fees discounted or even waived!

Home for the Holidays
Monday, December 18 through Saturday, December 23

Hours of Operation: 10:30am-8:00pm

And, if you are looking for a pet of your own, feel free to stop by the shelter between 10:30am-6:30pm on Mondays through Saturdays and from 10:30am-5:30pm on Sundays at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale.

Meet the Pet Flyer Pets

Nala (ID 539688)

weekly pet flyer Nala
Description: 7 years old, female
Breed: German shepherd mix
Nala is a sweet and laid back girl. She is housebroken and knows basic commands. Nala is great with everyone and loves kids. She is no stranger to heart break as this is her second time at the shelter and it is because her owner lost their home. Nala is a great dog and deserves to find her forever home.

Bambi (ID 435367)

weekly pet flyer Bambi
Description: 6 year olds, male
Breed: Domestic shorthair mix
Pardon the pun, but Bambi would be the purrr-fect addition to any household! He’s great with people of all ages, other cats, and even dogs.
He is extremely friendly and active, but his favorite activity is cuddling! What’s not to love?

King (ID 573865)

Description: 5 years old, male
Breed:English coonhound mix
We absolutely love this goofy guy! Not only is he housebroken (he goes out 1x a day and paws at the door when he needs to go out), but he is so well-behaved that he can have free roam of the house when left alone. He is great with other dogs and LOVES people. King is such a sweet boy!

Sassy (ID 584764)

Description: 10 years old, female
Breed:Domestic shorthair mix
Sassy is very loving! She loves to be held and cuddled. She also likes to give headbutts!

Chucky (ID 582313)

weekly pet flyer chucky
Description: 8 years old, male
Breed:Australian cattle dog mix
Chucky is a smart cookie who is perfectly house trained. Chucky needs a home with either only adults and/or kids over 13.

He’s an independent boy who is not much of a lapdog. He likes to be in the same room with people, but he would prefer not to have too much physical touch until he comes to you for a reassuring chin scratch or head pat.

In return he’ll be your best walking/hiking buddy as well as entertain you with his sweet lil’ faces, adorable tricks (for treats please!) and hilarious solo ball playing. He would love to sleep at your feet at bedtime, but he also likes to sleep in his crate, if you prefer that. Do you have room in your heart and home for this adorable guy? Chucky’s adoption fee is sponsored by JR Dunn Jewelers.
