October is national “Adopt an Adult Dog Month” and the Humane Society of Broward County encourages you to celebrate by stopping by to find your next family member and make your family complete! Waiting to meet you are fabulous dogs in all sizes, colors, shapes and breeds. We all know puppies are adorable, but they require a lot of work. When you adopt an adult dog there are no surprises as to how big the dog will get, often times they are already trained and you can see the fantastic personality that’s already developed. They may not be able to balance your checkbook or do the laundry, but they will be a forever grateful companion to create memories with.
Additional Adoption Information
The adoption fee for dogs is $100 and $30 for cats. All animals go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive preliminary vaccinations, dogs receive a heartworm test, and cats are feline leukemia tested. They also receive a flea/tick preventative, a 10-day limited health care plan from VCA Animal Hospitals, 30 days of Trupanion Pet Insurance and a bag of Purina ONE pet food.
