About

Looking for a sweet dog who needs a family to love? If so, stop by the Humane Society of Broward County and meet Shuggie. At just over 2 years old and 55-pounds Shuggie was recently rescued by a good Samaritan. They witnessed a car pull over and push this beauty out of the car and then drive off. Shuggie got in the rescuer’s car and brought to the shelter. The volunteers and staff say she likes to play outside play fetch, but only with a tennis ball. She will chase after other toys but not retrieve them like a tennis ball. She is curious, walks well on a leash and likes to meet new people. Shuggie loves people so much she wants all your love and attention for herself and needs to be the only pet in the home. No dog parks for her. Thanks to Dolly’s Dream, they have kindly paid her adoption fee and she gets to go home with goodies to settle into her new home. To meet Shuggie, or any other pet visit www.humanebroward.com to fill out the pre-adoption form and then stop by the Humane Society of Broward County located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. The adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. and if you have any questions call 954-989-3977 ext. 6.
