Whether you’re 6 or 60, children and adults both agree that having a party at the Humane Society of Broward County is a tail-waggin’ good time! We’d love to add a little pep to your party! **Must be 21 years of age to book a Yappy Birthday.
We offer 3 different party packages to meet all your party needs.
All parties include a private and fully decorated party room, tour of our awesome shelter, dog breed bingo, cupcakes or cake, juice and water for all of your party guests.
Parties are held on Saturday and Sundays only.
Party times are usually 11:00 am – 1:00 pm or 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm (additional half hours are added to the end time for Platinum collar parties).

Choose from these Pawsome Activities:
- Make no bake dog treats. The doggos love them!
- Stuff Kongs as special treats for the homeless pups.
- Make cat toys for the homeless kitties to play with.
- Make your very own pet rock, it’s the easiest pet you’ll ever own!
- Create a character to take home out of creative air dry clay.
We recommend parties for children ages 6 and older. The minimum age for a party is 5 years old and will be limited to 10 guests*.
There is no maximum age for parties, even 102 year olds love animals!! We have even had Sweet 16 and Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrations too!

*Guests counted in the party package are those partaking in the activities, eating any food we provide, and going home with a goody bag, this includes the birthday person. Parents of children at parties are not counted in guest head count.

We recommend reaching out at least a month before your preferred party dates as slots fill up quickly!
How do I reserve a party date? Once an available date and time have been determined with the Birthday Party Host, you will be asked to place a $100 deposit to hold your spot. The deposit will go towards the total party cost. After the deposit is placed that party spot is yours!
When is the final party balance payment due? The final payment is due at the conclusion of the party.
Which activities benefit the homeless animals the most? No bake dog treats, Kong Stuffing, and Cat Toys.
What activities are the most popular? No Bake Dog treats is our most popular activity choice. Second place goes to cat toys and third is creative clay.
What is included in the goody bags? The goody bags include candy, a couple of small toys, a bookmark, a pencil, and stickers. You are welcome to add more to the goody bag should you choose to do so.
Can I bring my own pet to the party? Unfortunately, outside animals are not permitted to attend parties for safety and liability reasons.
Can I bring in additional decorations? Yes, you are welcome to bring in additional decorations to add to our festive party room.
Can I bring in additional food/beverages? Yes, you are welcome to bring in any food or beverages you would like. We have an ice machine on premises that you are welcome to utilize.
How many puppies will available during animal playtime? The number of puppies brought in for guests to play with during animal playtime depends upon what is available in the shelter. On average, between 2 – 4 puppies will visit, however those numbers cannot be guaranteed.
Who is counted in the party head count? Guests counted in the party package are those partaking in the activities, eating any food we provide, and going home with a goody bag, this includes the birthday person. Parents of children at parties are not counted in guest head count.
