Meeting our community’s needs. Part of our proud Humane Society of Broward County mission is to support our community by providing quality, affordable pet healthcare. It’s what we do.
HSBC understands the importance of spaying and neutering our pets. We offer lower cost services to the public to ensure optimal health benefits for pets and reduce the number of homeless animals.
Get your kitten or puppy off to a great start or keep your older cat or dog in great shape. Annual vaccines and flu shots are a necessary part of pet care, and HSBC offers low-cost vaccinations or vaccine packages that help you stay on top of important health issues. Please note our vaccine department is a walk-in only clinic and we no longer accept advanced appointments.
When we’re faced with the decision of whether or not to euthanize our pet, it becomes a heart-wrenching experience. Many people seek their veterinarian’s advice and ask them when the time is right. Your veterinarian can help you figure out if your pet is in pain and how to keep your pet as comfortable as possible. Learn more about our end of life and cremation services here.
A partnership was established in 2002 between the Humane Society of Broward County and Veterinary Centers of America (VCA), a network of more than 2,000 animal hospitals nationwide. A new HSBC adopter will receive a $250 credit to a local VCA hospital for the first 14 days after adoption for a post-adoption check-up. VCA veterinarians will treat animals.
HSBC is your partner throughout the full life of your pet, offering socialization and behavior support, obedience classes and online training resources. The lasting rewards of working together on behavior expectations are worth the effort and cement your special bond. Learn more about our behavior and training resources.
Read our helpful blog posts about pet care, including specific diseases and treatments. Learn why pet health care is so important and help your pet be more comfortable with visiting the clinic for necessary check-ups or treatment.
