Love, patience, commitment, kindness and don’t forget the FUN!
No doubt your pet’s personality and behavior may puzzle you at times. Just like people, factors from your pet’s past treatment and habits influence their current conduct. From mood to activity level, you may notice fluctuations in your pet’s behavior on a daily basis or over a span of time.
Relationships take time and understanding. Remember your new pet needs time to learn the rules of the house as they become part of your family dynamic. HSBC is your partner throughout the full life of your pet, offering socialization and behavior support, obedience classes and online training resources. The lasting rewards of working together on behavior expectations are worth the effort and cement your special bond.
Questions?
Here are the most frequently asked questions about behavior and training.
Training your dog with treats and praise! Enrolling yourself and your dog in positive reinforcement training classes goes beyond teaching your dog to sit and stay. It’s about improving communication between you and your dog and building a stronger bond. Learning the basics this way will also build the foundation for additional training and curb the development of behavioral problems.
