For the next 12 months, longtime Humane Society of Broward County supporter J.R. Dunn Jewelers will be helping to create true love – by sponsoring pet adoptions so that more dogs and cats can find happy homes. The program is called “Diamond in the Ruff,” and who knows diamonds better than J.R. Dunn?
|Dolly’s Dream has expanded and now they are underwriting the adoption fee of select bully breed dogs. In addition to underwriting the fee, they will cover the costs for the basic items that the dog will need to succeed in their new home. This includes a training crate, Sensation harness or No-Pull harness, chew toys, collar, ID tag, leash, training treat bag and basic dishes. If necessary, they will also cover the cost of obedience classes here at the Humane Society of Broward County.|
Meet Our Current Dolly’s Dream Dogs
Hero (ID 565033)
My name is Hero (ID A565033) and I’m a 4 year young, 54 pound American Staffordshire terrier who needs lots of TLC. As you can see my fur is very sparse and I had a lot of fleas when I arrived. The vet believes my patchy coat is the result of poor nutrition, fleas and a dirty environment I previously lived in. The staff at the Humane Society of Broward County say I’m amazing
I’m super sweet and love to snuggle. I will sit, especially if a treat is involved, and I like to play with toys. I would love a family to call my own. A family who will love me and help me heal so I’ll have a luxurious coat and be that handsome GQ model. What do you think? Can I come live with you?
Maddie (ID 560537)
Beautiful Maddie is a 3 year young American Staffordshire terrier mix who has had a rough couple of months. She came to the HSBC from Animal Control with a broken leg and was extremely underweight when she arrived. A special vet came in to do surgery on her leg and she has made a wonderful recovery.
Maddie will do best in a home where she is the only pet, that way she can have all your attention. The shelter trainers say she is very sweet, she is housetrained and will be good for any family who can give her the extra TLC she needs. Can Maddie make memories with you?
