The Humane Society of Broward County is excited to introduce our Animal-Assisted Wellness Classes to the South Florida community. These unique sessions harness the healing power of the human-animal bond to support and restore the mind, body, and spirit—promoting balance, relaxation, and overall well-being.
All classes will have puppies (or other baby animal guests) in attendance.
Classes being offered:
Mindful Paws
Puppy Yoga
Healing Paws Chakra Flow
Puppy Yoga combines the relaxation and mindfulness of traditional yoga with the joy and playfulness of puppies. Participants flow through gentle yoga poses while adorable, adoptable puppies from the Humane Society of Broward County roam freely, offering snuggles, kisses, and playful interactions. The experience promotes stress relief, laughter, and connection—both with the animals and with fellow participants. Best of all, the classes help socialize the puppies and raise awareness for pet adoption.
The class is 60 minutes long.
Up to 30 participants in each class.
This unique class invites participants to restore harmony and balance through the ancient practice of chakra alignment. Guided by soothing sound therapy, the healing properties of essential oils, breathwork, and yoga poses, attendees will experience deep relaxation and energetic renewal—all while surrounded by the calming presence of shelter animals. The session nurtures the mind, body, and spirit, and ends with a visit from some animal guests.
The class is 60 minutes long
Up to 30 participants in each class.
