The Humane Society of Broward County is excited to introduce our  Animal-Assisted Wellness Classes to the South Florida community. These unique sessions harness the healing power of the human-animal bond to support and restore the mind, body, and spirit—promoting balance, relaxation, and overall well-being.

 

All our classes feature puppy yoga, each with a unique wellness focus.

Puppy Yoga classes being offered at the shelter:

Puppy Yoga: Mindful Paws

Puppy Yoga: Puppy Zen

Puppy Yoga: Chakra Flow

Puppy Yoga: Mindful Paws is a calming, restorative class designed to nurture the mind, body, and spirit through movement, mindfulness, and meaningful connection with puppies. Participants are guided through an uplifting wellness experience that blends mindful meditation, sound therapy, and gentle movement, all enhanced by the comforting and joyful presence of puppies. This unique class promotes relaxation, balance, and emotional well-being while celebrating the powerful connection of the human-animal bond.
 
The class is 60 minutes long.
 
Up to 30 participants in each class.

Puppy Yoga: Puppy Zen blends the calming benefits of traditional yoga with the joy and playful energy of puppies. Participants are guided through gentle yoga poses and relaxing movement while adorable, adoptable puppies from the Humane Society of Broward County roam freely, offering cuddles, kisses, and plenty of playful interaction. This uplifting experience encourages relaxation, stress relief, laughter, and connection, allowing participants to find their Zen while experiencing the positive benefits of the human-animal bond.

The class is 60 minutes long.

Puppy Yoga: Chakra Flow invites participants to restore balance and reconnect through a calming practice inspired by chakra alignment and enhanced by the joyful presence of puppies. Guided through soothing sound therapy, aromatherapy with essential oils, mindful breathwork, and gentle yoga poses, participants can unwind, recharge, and experience a sense of relaxation and renewal. The comforting presence of puppies adds warmth, playfulness, and connection, creating a unique wellness experience centered around the human-animal bond.

The class is 60 minutes long

October 10, 2026 – Puppy Zen at 9:00 am

November 14, 2026 – Chakra Flow at 9:00 am

To help create a calm, respectful environment for everyone and our animals, disruptive behavior isn’t permitted. If interruptions continue, we may ask the individual to exit the session.

Please note that registration is required to attend, and we are unable to accommodate walk-ins.

Must bring your own yoga mat. 

Cancellation Policy: We are happy to refund you if you cannot join us, but you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the class to receive a full refund. We can also transfer your registration to another class if you would rather do that, but at least 24 hours notice is needed as well for this option.
