The Humane Society of Broward County continually emphasizes the importance of spaying and neutering to combat pet overpopulation. A significant portion of our resources is dedicated to these procedures for shelter animals.
As part of this, we will be participating in a Regional TNR Event with multiple regional shelters on April 18th. Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the most humane, effective method for managing community cat populations, involving trapping, neutering, vaccinating, and returning cats to their original habitat.
Our surgery goal for the day is 150 cats and the regional goal for that day is 1000 surgeries!
