About

Marvelous Maddie is a friendly girl who loves to be petted. We don't know a lot about her past, but she does appear to have some training as she shows off her sit and no. She walks well on a leash and tends to be a very curious girl. Maddie the explorer! She's a little anxious in her kennel, but calms down when she's taken out. She would love to have a family that will take her for exploration walks, and just love her for the rest of her life! - Maddie had a chance to go on a Dog's Day Out with one of our wonderful volunteers. They reported that she did really well! They went for a walk at TY Park and curious Maddie wanted to sniff all of the new smells she encountered. She was calm in the car and very sweet. She was also happy to give lots of kisses for her treats. Ms. Sharri said that she did not pull on her leash and was very gentle. She saw other dogs and ignored them. All in all, she had a GREAT day! We hope she can have a great day every day of the year with her new family soon. Maddie's friends at J.R. Dunn Jewelers have kindly sponsored her adoption fee. If she sounds like she might be a good fit for you, please fill out a pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com and come to the shelter to meet her. The shelter is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL and opens daily at 11 a.m. If you have any questions, please call 954-989-3977 ext. 6.
