Summer Camp Ages 13-17
Teens will learn about positive dog training techniques, working in the shelter and a small amount of veterinary care. We will spend a good amount of time interacting with large dogs, cats and other small animals.
HSBC adoption, education, engagement, and health services are designed to impart a humane understanding of animal welfare and build a compassionate community of advocacy for their wellbeing. We are excited to help you learn more about our shelter work and the animals we care for in an environment that is supportive, engaging and inspiring. Let’s learn something wonderful and build a compassionate community together.

Great for all ages!
HSBC is proud to partner with local organizations that nurture and inspire our young people. We even have our own “No Bones About It” Girl Scout Patch!
The purpose of the HSBC Animal Assisted Therapy Program is to build a humane community while providing unconditional love, embracing the human-animal bond and establishing healing connections.
We provide animal-assisted therapy to a wide range of facilities and offer the Wags & Tales Reading program at local schools and libraries.
