Spring Break Camp Ages 6-12

The Humane Society of Broward County offers several day-camps throughout the school year and week-long camps during summer break.

In all of our camps, we teach the kids about staying safe around animals and the kids get supervised hands-on interaction with animals. Kids love our cool animal-themed crafts, games, and activities—it’s ALL animals, ALL day!

You’ll be pleased to know that our education staff have professional teaching /education backgrounds and degrees. All of our staff, teen and adult volunteers have been screened and approved by the state Level 2 Background Screening. In addition, the Humane Society of Broward County also adheres to a Youth Protection Policy to ensure the safety and well-being of the young people we serve in our community.

Who

Kids ages 6-12 are invited to join us during their Spring Break.

When

Spring Camp – March 24 – 28, 2025

The camp day runs from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.

Details

A session of Spring Break Camp will include:

Camp T-Shirt
Pizza lunch on Friday
Furry animal time
Animal toy and treat making
Lessons on animal care and responsibility
Fun games and activities!

Cost: $325.00

Cancellation policy: A full refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee (per child), will be issued if the cancellation is requested 10 business days before the start date of the camp registered for.

Family Camp Day

Families are invited to join us for a day of camp fun!

Teen Animal Care Volunteer Program

We offer an on-site 3-month program for teens ages 16 to 18 and attending high school. Registration for 2025 opens on November 13, 2024 at approximately 3:00pm, and will remain open until all spots are full. Make sure you’re on our website then to secure your spot in one of our seven sessions. All positions for 2024 are currently full.

School Presentations

The Humane Society of Broward County (HSBC) is approved by the School Board of Broward County to offer our Humane Education and Shelter Tour lessons to Broward County students.

Clinic Tours

The Humane Society of Broward County offers clinic tours for groups that will be engaged in a presentation about the pet overpopulation problem we face.
