About

WATCH MY VIDEO...This sweet pup is the ultimate "life of the party" and a world-class cuddler who is finally ready to find a forever home! A true staff favorite, they are a literal "hype-dog" who will join your dance parties with enthusiastic howls, only to settle down immediately afterward for a cozy cuddle sandwich on the couch. Not only is this pup a "leash legend" who is a dream to walk, but they are also a smart scholar who has already mastered commands like sit and down. Whether they are soaking up the rays on a sunny patio or making a splash in the water, this sun-bathing swimmer just wants to be part of the family festivities. While they aren't much for toys right now, they have a huge heart for people and are great with kids. They would thrive best as an only dog—though they are open to meeting a potential canine sibling—and require a home without cats or birds. If you're looking for a food-motivated, smart, and affectionate soulmate to complete your home, this dance queen is waiting to meet you!Laverne's friends at J.R. Dunn Jewelers have kindly sponsored her adoption fee. If she sounds like she might be a good fit for you, please fill out a pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com and come to the shelter to meet her. The shelter is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL and opens daily at 11 a.m. If you have any questions, please call 954-989-3977.
