About

WATCH MY VIDEO...Sweet Ajah (ID 724791) is a 6-year-old gal who is hoping someone will see past the circumstances that brought her to the shelter and give her the second chance she deserves. Sadly, her owner lost their home and wanted Ajah to have a safe, stable place to live. Despite everything, Ajah remains a loving, affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. She is good with kids and would happily spend her days right beside you. In fact, Ajah’s idea of the perfect day probably involves climbing right onto your lap and staying there! Our volunteers say she is super affectionate, loves getting pets, and really wants to be a lap dog. Ajah loves toys, and is generally calm, although she can get a little hyper when her playful side takes over. She is also treat motivated, which should make teaching her new things lots of fun. She already knows sit and paw. She is good with other dogs, although a meet and greet is always recommended when introducing her to a canine companion. Cats, however, are a different story. She is mainly afraid of them, so she would be happiest in a home without cats where she can relax and feel comfortable. With her gentle personality, love of affection, and devotion to her people, Ajah has so much love left to give.  If you’re looking for a loving companion who would happily trade the shelter for your lap, Ajah would love to meet you.  Thanks to Dolly's Dream, her adoption fee is covered and she gets to go home with supplies from the Pet Boutique to help her settle in...that could be lots of toys!  To meet Ajah visit www.humanebroward.com to complete the pre-adoption application.  The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, Fl 33312 and the adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m.  If you have any questions call 954-989-3977.
